Joel Anand Samy’s professional background includes senior executive and leadership positions in the business sector, publishing industry, international relief and economic development, private foundation grant-making and public policy.
He served as Vice President of Jonathan and David, Inc., Treasurer/Trustee of The Jonathan and David Foundation and also led the marketing communications and advertising activities as a senior executive at Zondervan–HarperCollins Publishers, a division of News Corporation. In the 1990s, Joel Anand Samy led several private-sector humanitarian and economic development initiatives in war-torn and post-communist economies.
Anand Samy’s spearheaded relief efforts in Rwanda, Somalia and within East Africa, Vietnam, the Balkan region including Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Kosovo. He also engaged ABC and NBC television affiliates on news programs traveling to Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. One of the unique projects Anand Samy worked on included raising funds to re-build the orphanage – The Egypt House – Stadlerov dječji dom Egipat in Sarajevo, Bosnia, that was targeted by shelling during the seige of the city. In 1996, Joel Anand Samy was part of a welfare reform initiative in the United States working with business and media leaders, members of Congress and state governors.
Joel is the co-founder of the International Leaders Summit, a unique platform which has brought together a network of reform leaders and principled policy advocates, dedicated to strengthening the rule of law, promoting healthcare reform, expanding free and fair trade and securing peace through strength in the US, Europe and India. In 2015, Anand Samy, Natasha Srdoc and the late Sanford M. Saunders, a Jewish American leader, co-founded the Jerusalem Leaders Summit to strengthen US-Israel ties on the economic, security, healthcare and trade fronts. The prominent pro-Israel platform highlights the start-up nation’s creativity and innovation and positive contribution to new audiences within America, Britain, continental Europe and India.
In 2019, Anand Samy and Natasha Srdoc, co-founder of International Leaders Summit launched the US-India Leaders Summit at The National Press Club in Washington, DC, bringing together Indian, Jewish and US leaders including US legislators, US administration officials, India's diplomats and networks of Indian American physicians on the healthcare reform, security and trade fronts.
Anand Samy also spent time in Europe working with reform leaders. Anand Samy co-founded the Adriatic Institute for Public Policy with Natasha Srdoc in advancing the rule of law and market reforms in the Balkan region and the European Union. He co-authored a book with Natasha Srdoc for Eastern Europe titled “Flat Tax – The Case for Tax Reform” – which was used by reformers in implementing the flat tax in Eastern Europe’s post-communist economies.
He is the co-host of America’s Roundtable — Radio and Podcast, an initiative of International Leaders Summit in partnership with Lanser Broadcasting Corporation and The Pledge.

He has appeared on broadcast media including CNN, CBN News, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates, Israel TV Channel 1 on the prime-time Roim Oalm program with anchor Yaakov Ahimeir and on i24NEWS with anchor Barbara Opall-Rome.
